Apprentice Teaching Assistant
Caldmore Primary Academy, Walsall
32.5 hours per week, all year round (12-month contract)
Apprenticeship minimum wage
Help us give children the best possible start in life.
We are recruiting for an apprentice teaching assistant, responsible for supporting our class teachers within the early years foundation stage (EYFS), whilst studying the ‘Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools’ qualification. You will bring our innovative curriculum to life, as you maintain good order and discipline, engage pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and stimulate children of all abilities to reach their full potential.
Naturally, any experience working with young pupils would be very useful, but it’s your outgoing nature, flexibility and willingness to learn that will matter most. In return, we can offer you total involvement in everything we do and prospects that could take you anywhere within the school or the Trust’s network of 22 academies
Caldmore Primary is a learning community in which everybody wants to continuously improve, is expected to continuously improve and has a duty to help others to do so. There is a relentless pursuit by all staff to create a happy, respectful and purposeful learning environment. Our motto, ‘Aspire, Believe, Achieve’, is central to the inclusivity of the academy; there are strong, nurturing relationships between staff and pupils and an unswerving commitment to help all of our children fulfil their potential.
What’s in it for you? Our warm, welcoming and highly skilled team will do what they can to ensure you succeed with your apprenticeship qualification. You will be eligible to join a generous local government pension scheme and have access to the Together employee benefits platform. Most importantly of all, you will work alongside a team who are passionate about what they do, ensuring each pupil, from Nursery to Year 6, has the best possible start in life.
For an informal discussion or to arrange a visit, please contact the academy office on 01922 721 359 or email gclarke@caldmore.attrust.org.uk or if you are ready to apply go to www.academytransformationtrust.org.uk
Closing date: Monday 15th July 2019, Midday
Academy Transformation Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. An Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, 2 satisfactory references, and verification of qualifications are required for this post.
