Birmingham Youth Offending Service is seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Senior Team Officer with current experience of working in a youth offending setting. The successful candidate will be based at East Youth Offending Team.   

As one of our Senior Team Officers you will demonstrate leadership qualities that will assist the management team in providing an effective service that meets the individual needs of young people and families to reduce and prevent further offending. You will also assist in developing specific areas of expertise and knowledge across the service in order to develop and improve practice, taking on a lead role within quality assurance, chairing reviews where appropriate and managing complex cases.

You must be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to engaging and supporting children and young people who are subject to out of court disposals and statutory criminal court orders; both within the community and custodial settings; in accordance with legal requirements, national standards and local policies.
