MASH Social Worker
We’re on a journey to do better for Coventry’s children, and we’re committed to doing things differently and have re-structured our services to make sure that children are at the heart of our decision-making and receive good outcomes.
We’re clear on where we’re going – and how every single Social Worker can put Children first. We've worked to build a stronger support network - and, with a new management structure and inspirational leadership, are working to make it even stronger with our strategic plan ‘Getting to Good’.
We’re excited that Coventry has recently been awarded the city of culture. This is a win for Coventry, a win for young people and a win for diversity. The economic impact will be huge for the city and the West Midlands.
Coventry is a vibrant, multicultural city with a fascinating and inspiring story to tell and an arts and cultural scene that deserves its place in the national spotlight.
As UK City of Culture 2021 we will be able to show everyone why we are so proud of our city and the people who live, work and study here and build something lasting for our children and grandchildren to enjoy.
Coventry City council’s Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is seeking to recruit two dynamic, experienced and highly skilled Social Workers to deliver an outstanding service to children and their families. One is a permanent post and the other is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
The MASH team is based at Broadgate House in the city centre of Coventry and provide a single point of contact for Safeguarding concerns in regards to Children.
We are looking to recruit Social Workers who are enthusiastic, quick thinking and confident in dealing with members of the public, professionals and agencies via the telephone in order to process referrals and gather information to enable an accurate initial threshold assessment to be made regarding the support that a child and their family may require.
This is a great opportunity to experience working in a busy, multi-agency environment that focuses on providing good quality advice to ensure that families receive appropriate support.
You will believe in providing a high-quality service that ensures that the child is at the heart of everything we do.
You will need to have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and HCPC registration with at least 18 months experience.
