As an ICT Advanced Level Apprenticeship you will be working between the ICT Service Desk and the Infrastructure Operations team.
In this apprenticeship you will learn things like customer care, system security, managing software development, and basic IT applications.
As an Advanced Level apprentice you will learn new skills in the Service Desk where you will be working with customers to identify, troubleshoot and escalate IT faults and work with experienced Support Technicians in setting up new equipment or upgrading existing systems.
It is a plan that will not only change the Council, but will see the total transformation of the city centre and the way we do business including the ICT support and systems we use.
It will see staff across the Council working differently, with more shared space, new ICT technology, hot-desking and many other changes.
There are two sides to ICT – knowing how it works, and knowing how to use it. In the first category are the people who program computer software, design applications for mobile phones, install networks in offices and fix things when they go wrong.
The demand for ICT has never been greater, so developing your skills in this area is one of the best career moves you could possibly make.
