The Intelligence, Improvement & Development Service have an exciting opportunity within their Children’s Review & Development Service.

The post holder will chair child protection conferences and statutory reviews of looked after children.

A key aspect of the role will involve providing quality assurance and scrutiny and challenge around the care planning arrangements for children and young people in Staffordshire.

The Independent Chairs work across Staffordshire and also undertake looked after reviews for children and young people placed out of the area.

This is an exciting time in Staffordshire where we are experiencing increased numbers of Independent Chairs whose role is to promote outcomes for children and young people.

A key aspect of the role is promoting the principles of working in partnership with parents and other agencies, alongside ensuring the voice of children and young people is captured and responded to.
