Personal Advisor, Care Leavers Team.

Annual Salary up to £26,317

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in direct work and really make a difference in our young people’s lives.

We are seeking enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Personal Advisors within Worcestershire's Care Leavers Service to support young people aged 17-24 who are preparing for or are in the process of making the transition to independent living.

As a Personal Advisor you will manage and support an allocated caseload of young people and ensure the provision of practical, personal, emotional and financial advice to facilitate a successful transition to adulthood and promote independence.

You will develop effective working relationships with young people and partner agencies, you will be the key professional to your young people, providing practical help and guidance to promote their safety and wellbeing.

You will be responsible for keeping case records, developing young people’s Pathway Plans, attending meetings and completing visits to young people at home and in the community; always seeking to promote the best outcomes possible.

We are looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable in their practice, someone who is professionally curious, passionate about helping young people achieve their potential and can work in line with corporate parenting principles.

The Team is based at Wildwood Offices on the County Hall Campus and is part of Children's Services.  Although we are based in Wildwood our Personal Advisors typically work in the community, county-wide and sometimes beyond.  There is variety to our work and no two days look the same.
