Job Details
Telford & Wrekin Council provides a Business Support Service across Children, Young People and Adult Services.
1 x Business Support Officer Fixed Term Contract to 31/3/20
29.6 hours pw (across 4 days)
Salary £19,554 pro-rata
The postholder will be required to carry out a range of administrative duties including the maintenance of accurate records and systems, together with regular and complex minute-taking. The postholder will be supported by the Team Leader/Senior Business Support Officer, to complete a range of tasks/functions. The majority of the main functions of the team will be supported by written processes and instructions.
This role primarily involves supporting the Fostering Panel along with Mainstream and Connected Persons teams. The post holder ideally should have good minute taking skills and be highly organised, efficient, self-motivated and able to manage a busy workload in conjunction with the Senior BSO and Team Manager. The post holder will also have opportunity to contribute to the further development of the role and Business Support Team in order to support a busy and expanding Fostering service. Knowledge of safeguarding and a legal framework is desirable but not essential as full training will be given once in post.
