Casual Food Preparation Assistant – Ref: RT66219
Salary G3 £9.46 per hour

We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable team members to assist in the production and delivery of school meals across the borough.  Successful candidates will undertake general kitchen duties including the cleaning of associated equipment.  In return, we offer excellent pay rate, uniform and access to training.

Casual Food Preparation Assistants are valued members of our teams and are needed in our schools and Council buildings.

If you are available to work between the hours of 10.00am and 2.00pm, Monday to Friday term time, we would like to hear from you.

Successful applicants will hold or train for the Essential Food Hygiene Certificate.

The casual food preparation assistant post is of a non-contractual basis and work will be allocated on an ‘as and when needed’ basis, to cover annual leave and sickness, therefore hours are not guaranteed.

Should a permanent position arise, successful applicants for this post will be considered.

Walsall Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Completion of a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check may be required for this post.

Closing Date: Wednesday 31st July 2019
