Post Ref: RF537 -  37 Hours per week

Cannock Chase Council and Stafford Borough Council are committed to providing an efficient and effective service in respect of their Council Tax billing and collection.

An Opportunity has arisen for a candidate with the appropriate skills, experience and commitment to work in the shared Revenues & Benefits Service. Whilst the successful candidate will be based primarily in Cannock, you may be required on occasion to work at sites across the Cannock Chase and Stafford Borough areas.

The successful applicant will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work accurately and to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.

You should hold GCSE’s at Grade C or above in Mathematics and English or have equivalent vocational or academic experience. You must also be able to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative and be willing to undertake training and development to gain detailed knowledge of Council Tax and Housing Benefits.

Previous experience of working in Local Authority Revenues and Benefits administration and experience of working with Civica or other Council Tax software would be advantageous.
