St Nicholas Owen Catholic MAC was established in October 2014, as part of the Diocesan Academy Strategy across the Archdiocese of Birmingham, and brought together our six schools which all have a strong tradition of excellence in Catholic education. The MAC was formed on the basis of effective working relationships, with the aim of strengthening and further improving the life chances of all the young people within our strong Catholic partnership. The Directors of the MAC, and all involved in our schools, are deeply committed to providing outstanding education firmly rooted in gospel values – our motto is “In Jesus we live learn and serve”.

To help achieve our exciting and challenging vision, the CSEL now seeks an experienced and dynamic Personal Assistant who will work closely with her to achieve the MAC strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will ideally have prior administrative management experience within an educational setting and will be able to demonstrate the necessary enthusiasm, drive and commitment to succeed in this fast-paced and challenging role.

We are looking for a person who:

  • thrives in an empowered culture.
  • has a real sense of humility and is not precious about the status of their role but more in tune with the results they are producing for the company and their own personal development.
  • takes responsibility for their own actions and enjoys 'intelligently' challenging decisions in order to produce the best outcomes for the company.
  • is adaptable enough to change in line with the needs of the business…..has a real abundance of common sense at all times.
  • is resilient and positive, able to find an ‘upside’ to set backs or obstacles.
  • is ambitious and wishes to succeed alongside others within the company.
  • is honest and offers total discretion at all times and is a true ambassador for the company.
  • is enthusiastic, savvy and has a strong level of emotional intelligence.
  • will pre-empt the situation and appreciate a CSEL who provides a real opportunity for them to carve a serious career in a PA capacity and beyond into more project based work, a real right hand person for the company.
  • is committed to the values and ethos of St Nicholas Owen Mac.

Closing date: 27th July 2019

N.B. We reserve the right to close this vacancy prior to the advertised date should we receive a large number of applications.
