Customer Services has several vacancies covering our busy Children’s Centre Receptions across the City Centre. The Centres are offices where our Children’s social care teams work with vulnerable families and children in need of care and support. There are a range of visitors to the Centres including families, young people; health professionals; support agencies; police/ probation services. You’ll be welcoming people at the reception, making sure that they get to the right place at the right time as well as covering telephones and administration work. You may be asked to support preparation of meeting rooms as needed. 

You will need excellent communication and customer service skills to be able to deal with a diverse range of customers and emotions. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the needs of the service, covering receptions points across the city as required.

In addition to these roles we have positions handling customer contact for Childrens Services and general posts covering high volume activities - invoicing, timesheets and travel arrangements.  You will need to have good communication and organisational skills along with being IT literate.  All team members will need to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the service and be able to cover duties as required.  

There are a variety of Part Time and Full Time positions available.

As a large part of Coventry City Council we have a regular amount of posts available, this is an open vacancy and will close as soon as sufficient applications are received. Regular assessment centres will be held for shortlisted candidates.

Assessments will consist of a competence-based interview and work based role play.
