Supply Teaching Assistants

Scale 2 (Level 2)  - £9.36 - £9.55 per hour

Daily Rate of £60.84 - £62.08

Haughton School is a Primary School which caters for children with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs. We are seeking teaching assistants to join our bank of supply staff for the academic year 2019-2020 (from September).

We are looking for enthusiastic and resilient teaching assistants to join our dedicated staff team on a supply basis.

This is an exciting and rewarding way to gain experience in working with children with special educational needs and disabilities.

You may be asked to work on a day to day supply basis, or alternatively in a more long-term supply role (e.g. maternity cover). You could be working within a classroom providing general support to the teacher, working with groups of children or providing 1-1 support dependant on your experience. The role requires you to be flexible, enthusiastic, energetic and to be a team player.

The posts will be offered subject to the satisfactory return of two references and a Disclosure & Barring Service Records (previously known as CRB) check.

The purpose of this job is:

• To work with teachers as part of a professional team to support the teaching and learning of children throughout the school
• The post holder will undertake other duties to fully support and underpin personal and social development.
• To carry out other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Head Teacher.
