ICT Server Support Officer

As an ICT Server Support Officer you will manage and delivering the computer systems and networks of ICT services provided across Coventry City Council and Schools. You will be required to install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person. You will have a very strong technical background in software and operating systems and the ability to think logically whilst providing great Customer Service. In this role, you will be working with technologies such Windows Server and UNIX. To succeed in this role, passion for up and coming technologies and future cloud solutions is a must.
We are innovators in the use of ICT technology in the public sector, and are at the cutting edge of the implementation of new technology to give staff across the Council an effective and agile ICT platform that can be used from any location. Our team team work on delivering operational services as well as projects, further demonstrating how Coventry ICT strives to deliver excellent service and cutting edge technology. We as team look after a multitude of technical diciplines, they are Data Centre, Windows Server support, Solaris Servers support, Backups, Virtualisation, Databases and Storage to name a few.
