Practice Improvement Manager – Ref: CH22319

Salary G10 (£36,511 - £41,263)

Secondment opportunity for Walsall based agencies / services

This is an exciting opportunity to work across the safeguarding partnership in Walsall, coordinating and leading safeguarding practice improvement in children’s and adult’s services.

This is a new post and the secondment is initially for approximately 4 months, whilst recruitment to the permanent position takes place.

You will have practice leadership experience of working in Children’s or Adult Services, Social Care, health, police or education; possess excellent communication and analytical skills together with experience of leading and developing change and successfully implementing new approaches or models of working across the workforce. You will have a sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation and practice and be able to work at both a strategic and operational deliver level.

You should gain your service managers approval to be released for secondment.

A training qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.

This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.

For this role the successful candidates must undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.  BPSS is the minimum standard to ensure the identity and integrity of an employee who has access to official information using secure networks linking central government and local authorities.  A BPSS check involves four main elements; Identity Check, National and Immigration Status, Employment History (last 3 years) and Verification of Criminal Record (unspent convictions only).
