An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior ICT User Support Officer working within our Information Systems Section on a Fixed Term basis, up to 12 months, for 14.8 hours per week.

Salary:  Grade 9

 

You will work as part of a team supporting users of ICT across the Council, managing a number of Tier 1 ICT User Support Officers responsible for the logging, routing, tracking and resolution of ICT incidents and service requests. As a senior member of the team you will support in the leadership, management and promotion of the team and deputise in the absence of the ICT User Support Manager.

 

Specific duties will include main responsibility for the Council’s frontline (tier 1) ICT support service, handling calls logged via ‘myICT’ online forms and telephone (telephone contact accounts for less than 20% of calls received). You will also be responsible for monitoring and escalation of incidents having a high business impact.

 

You will have significant experience in a busy ICT user support environment and possess excellent personal communication skills combined with attention to detail and awareness of the business impact of ICT incidents.
