Catering Assistant

Level 1 / scale point 1 (£9.00 per hour)

15 Hours per week / 39 working weeks

Staffordshire University Academy are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Catering Assistant to join the team. We are an 11-19 academy who take pride in our in house catering service, providing our students and staff with quality meals and a friendly service.

Successful applicants should have previous experience working in the food industry, preferably in an environment with children. A current level two hygiene certificate is desirable but can be renewed with the academy prior to appointment. Knowledge of health and safety in the kitchen is essential as an integral part of catering operations.

The successful candidate will assist in the operation of the catering service including the preparation and cooking of food and beverages. Setting up and clearing away service points and dining equipment and serving meals to students and staff.
