Residential Assistant Team Manager

 

Green Hill Lodge is a Worcestershire County Council run children's home.  Its primary role is to provide long term 52 weeks a year residential care for eight children and young people of either sex up to the age of eighteen.

Green Hill Lodge comprises of two individual homes, Meadow Bank and Applegate. 

Meadow Bank caters for children and young people who have a learning disability, challenging behaviours and are on the Autistic Spectrum. The home caters for a range of difficulties including learning and emotional difficulties and behaviours which may challenge the service.

Applegate caters for four children and young people who have Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and who need support in managing their behaviours and to become valued members of our society. Applegate supports the children and young people to become independent

Green Hill Lodge works in partnerships with parents / carers, professionals, other agencies, and relevant people to meet the aims stated in care plans of the individual young people.

The Assistant Team Manager will support manager in the day to day operations of the home whilst ensuring that the quality of life and educational opportunity of the young people under their care is maximised by an appropriate, stable and robust residential placements that are comprehensively supported across all agencies, whilst offering a high standard of care. They must also make sure Safeguarding standards are adhered to, fully understood, implemented and monitored within the home setting.

The Assistant Team Manager will support the manger in managing and monitoring the work and performance of all team members, including effective regular individual supervision, and they are accountable for the quality of the work of both individuals and the team. They will be responsible for identifying individual training requirements and overall developmental requirements of the home.

The Assistant Team Manager will be responsible to Alan McGonigle Team Manager

Salary up to: £30,507
