The Housing Options Service forms part the Council’s overall Housing Services function and works closely with Housing Locality Services in meeting our strategic purpose of “Help me find somewhere to live in my Locality”.

Taking a systems thinking approach which addresses both the symptoms and underlying causes of housing issues, the Housing Options Manager will manage housing allocations and lead a team of officers dedicated to preventing and relieving homelessness across the borough.

The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and the Housing Act 1996 together with the skills, confidence and determination to identify and secure creative solutions to complex problems.

Redditch Borough Council Housing Services strives to put customers at the heart of how we deliver services so a commitment to close partnership working with other public services, the voluntary sector and private providers is a must.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is Monday 12 August 2019. Interviews will be held on week commencing 19 August 2019.
