Job Details
This is a Fixed-Term post from September 2019 until August 2020.
Sandwell's Inclusion Support Service is looking to recruit 2 Research Psychologists to join their team of Research Psychologists. This post sits within the Sandwell Inclusion Support Service and you will be part of the Educational and Child Psychology team, reporting to Senior Specialist Educational Psychologists. The role offers the opportunity to undertake psychologically orientated action-research in Sandwell Schools, as well as supporting and contributing to other aspects of Educational Psychology service delivery. You will gain an understanding of the role of an Educational Psychologist and be able to develop your applied psychology skills with support and supervision from experienced colleagues.

Candidates will need to be a strong undergraduate degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) with GBR from the British Psychological Society. A Masters degree in Psychology is preferred, but not essential. Candidates will also need the highest levels of research skills, written skills and interpersonal skills and will be able to work with high levels of independence and autonomy.
The post will be of interest to people keen to eventually pursue Educational Psychology as a career. The successful candidates will take up the post in September 2019 following the progression of current team members onto Educational Psychology training courses.
