Temporary contract until April 2020

37 hours per week

Reporting to the Customer Experience Operations Manager and based in Tamworth Borough Councils main office Marmion House you will be responsible for the general upkeep of various council owned office premises located in the town centre.

Duties will include general repairs and maintenance, furniture and office relocation, painting and decorating, fire alarm and emergency lighting tests, legionella sampling and assisting the customer service team.

A sound knowledge of Health and safety and COSHH legislation in relation to building maintenance is essential, as is the ability to undertake minor repairs and general maintenance duties.

The successful applicant will be required to communicate effectively with employees, contractors and members of the public and will be required to work on their own initiative.

You will also need to complete first aid and defibrillator training which will be organised by Tamworth Borough Council upon commencement in the role. There will be a requirement to attend occasional out of hours call outs.
