Hours:

17.5 Hours per Week

Part time. 17.5 hours per week.

Monday – Friday afternoons (12:15pm -3:45pm)

Temporary 1 year contract

Due to expanding pupil numbers, Monkspath School is looking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant who enjoys working as part of a team to join our friendly and experienced staff. This is a temporary 1 year contract in the first instance.

The successful candidate will be primarily based in the Foundation Stage (nursery), working under the direction of our Assistant Head Teacher and class teachers.

The post holder will be supporting the high quality provision within our large primary school and will:

• Have a passion for working with pupils

• Be flexible, proactive and work effectively as part of a team

• Understand how children learn and be able to support their development with key literacy, mathematics and personal skills

• Have an excellent understanding of how to be an effective teaching assistant within the Foundation Stage

• Have high expectations and be able to inspire pupils in order to further enhance learning

• Be willing to undertake further training

• Be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
