Job Details

Children’s Assessment and Support Services is the ‘Front Door’ to all our services.  The team ensure all enquires receive the right level of information, advice and guidance from experienced and knowledgeable staff.

It provides a clear pathway to our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub for children who require their services; and relies on strong partnership involvement to assist with the decision making; with our referral and advice officers receiving all new requests whilst being assisted by a team of social workers who walk the floor.

As one of our Senior Practitioners you will be the linchpin of one of our teams.  In this role you will not only support the team manager in their role; but you’ll mentor, induct and be a positive role model to our newly qualified social workers just starting on their journey; and our established social works who may need a little support or just a listening ear.  You are the person they can turn to for expert knowledge and advice that will bring success and good results for your colleagues, your team and the service.
