Job Details
As a Senior Social Worker in our Children’s Advice and Support Services you will take a leading role in improving the quality of professional social work across the breadth of the casework cycle, complying with legislative requirements at all times and in accordance with best practice.
We will look to you to ‘walk the floor’ supporting our referral and advice officers who are at the ‘front door’ of our services to ensure that all requests are sign posted correctly.
We’ll also expect you to provide technical and professional expertise to less experienced social workers, mentoring them and sharing your knowledge of relevant legislation, national standards, guidance, research, policy and procedures. Another important part of the role will involve actively promoting a ‘joined-up’ approach to effective partnership working, both with service users as well as other teams, agencies and organisations.
