Birmingham Adult Education Service – Adult Learning Tutor

(Variable Hours)

£21.84 - £28.07 per hour

We are looking for qualified, experienced and enthusiastic teachers to join our team for classes planned in 2019. We currently have vacancies on the following Subjects:

English Functional Skills, Maths, ESOL, ICT, Computerised Accounts, Bookkeeping, Web Design, Mental Health and Counselling, Cookery, Floristry, Jewellery, Sewing, Sugar Craft, Upholstery, Woodwork, Arabic, Dutch, French, Italian.

Successful applicants will be notified of appropriate fixed–term sessional teaching vacancies as and when they arise; day, evening, and weekend classes will be available.

You must hold a full teaching qualification (Level 5), English and Maths (Level 2), and a relevant subject qualification (Level 3 minimum).

For Maths, English and ESOL positions applicants must also hold or be working towards a subject specialist qualification (Level 4/5).

Please clearly state the subject or subjects you are applying to teach at the top of your personal statement in the application form.

Previous applicants who have applied within the past 12 months need not apply.
