Ninestiles School is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as Pastoral / Restorative Manager. This is an exciting role and requires someone with a high level of organisational, and communication skills.

Ninestiles has a very reflective teaching staff body who welcome feedback from parents and students to secure the needs of all learners. The school has a wide and varied curriculum, students have access to an impressive range of sporting and extracurricular activities with well over sixty enrichment opportunities offered after school. There is a strong culture of safeguarding and staff work positively with the leadership team to ensure students are kept safe.

We are seeking someone who can be innovative and forward thinking. You will have strong organisational skills and experience of managing Restorative Justice projects.

You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the impact that criminal behaviour can have upon others; parents, carers, families, victims and the wider community. This will be incorporated into your work which will be aimed at preventing and reducing offending.

Candidates must have a good level of experience in working with various levels of behaviour, communication and to promote positive values at all times within school.

Candidates will also have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills as this role requires regular contact with parents, staff, students and the local community

The successful candidate will also need to be able to demonstrate that they have previous experience in a behaviour and or restorative role, ideally within a school setting but this is not essential. Other essential skill sets involve the ability to be able to work flexibly and prioritise workload, work calm under pressure and uphold a professional, friendly manner at all times. It is desirable if candidates have received safeguarding training or have good knowledge about the child safeguarding and protection procedures, however full training will be given.

• To ensure all pupils make good or better progress irrespective of their starting points and backgrounds.

• To deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that complies with National expectations and is in line with the Trust’s ethos and schemes of work and is relevant to the age and ability of the children.

• To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of young people within the school.
