Located within an attractive part of north Worcestershire Wyre Forest District has a distinctive combination of rural and urban landscapes. At an exciting time when the District Council is moving towards the adoption of a Local Plan which includes significant growth for the District, an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our busy Development Management Team.

Working within the Planning Enforcement Team to monitor and manage development helping to make a sustainable and prosperous Wyre Forest. This is a challenging but rewarding position which requires initiative, sound judgement, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good negotiation skills and a tactful, but firm approach would also be advantageous for this post. You will investigate potential breaches of planning control and monitor new development, working with the Development Management Team to protect, maintain and enhance the quality of the built and natural environment.
