Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Student Engagement) 

Temporary for one year

32.5 hours per week, term time plus PD days 

An opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant within Southall School.

The job involves working across the whole school and with individual students. It is desirable for the Teaching Assistant to have experience of working with children with SEN and complex needs.

This role involves engaging with students who find it difficult to access the school environment. This involves educating off-site and enhancing social skills in different environments. You will be engaging and working with parents as students are collected and dropped at home; this will be a vital part of the role to gain relationships and trust. You will be working with a small team for support and guidance.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have: 

    Level two numeracy/literacy skills NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience An understanding of Child Protection policies Patience and empathy towards pupils Good command of literacy and numeracy

The post is 32.5 hours per week at level 3. Salary range is £9.74 - £9.94 per hour.
