1x 35 hour post working days but required to cover some night shifts and including some weekends and Bank Holidays.

 

Birmingham City Council provides services for Citizens which delivers quality care in different ways, recognising that people are individuals with specific needs. Our aim is to support people to live as independently as possible and provide care and support that is sensitive and person centred.

Anne Marie Howes is a residential Care Centre and there is an opportunity for a senior direct care worker to join the senior team

This residential unit caters for vulnerable adults with a diagnosis of dementia and challenging behavior. It is a 32 bedded unit that provides Citizens with support to live as independently as possible and successful candidates will be required to provide first line supervision to the care assistants.

To adhere to safe working practices whilst carrying out duties in line with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and to follow a person centred approach when supporting Citizens with everyday living tasks.

A flexible working approach with a willingness to support other services within the Centres to maintain a reliable, quality service.

The display a professional approach that responds to the caring ethos of the service and to ensure that Citizens and visitors to the Centres are treated with respect and dignity.

 

Successful candidates will be required to work a flexible rota. The service is part of a city wide provision and as a result individuals may be required to move location in response to service needs.

Compliance with all Birmingham City Councils Policies and Procedures including Health and Safety, Code of Conduct, Whistleblowing and Data Protection Legislation.
