Pathway Teacher - Functional Skills
September 2019
All hours will be Fixed Term until December 2019 at which point they will be reviewed. Should hours not be made permanent, they may remain Fixed Term until 26th June 2020.
Post 1: Maths - 6.7 hours
Post 2: Maths/English - 15.1 hours
Qualified £28,553 - £30,786 FTE*
Newly Qualified £24,540 - £25,364 FTE*
Unqualified - £23,591 FTE*
*pro rata to hours worked
We require teachers to join our committed Functional Skills team.
To apply, you should have successful teaching experience within Further Education and experience of supporting individual learners across a wide range of levels and with a range of learning, physical and sensory disabilities, including Autism. You will need to have a relevant teaching qualification or working towards achieving this. It is essential that you have a degree in a relevant subject and Level 2 Maths and English. You’ll need to be a team worker, with excellent communication, organisational and planning skills. You will also need to have computer skills with the ability to use technology to enrich teaching, learning and assessment. It is also important to have a positive, proactive, flexible approach to work with a strong commitment to excellence and student success.
