Stratford on Avon District Council and Rugby Borough Council have successfully obtained funding from central government to create this post to tackle rough sleeping across both local authority areas.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop the approach of both Councils to design strategies and solutions to reduce and eradicate rough sleeping in line with the government’s Rough Sleeper Strategy.

You will be responsible for developing and managing the local rough sleeper partnership and pathway working, including the designing of rough sleeper strategies for both areas.

Learning will be shared across both authorities in order to further enhance the approach in relation to rough sleepers. You will also be required to work up ways in which those at risk of future rough sleeping can be identified as soon as possible.

Part of the role will also involve the provision of data and information to both Councils, central government, and other interested internal and external partners.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, experience of working in homeless services, as well as of coordinating the work of a range of different agencies, including statutory and voluntary sectors, are essential criteria for this post.

The post holder will divide their time between Stratford on Avon District Council and Rugby Borough Council areas.  We would consider this as a secondment opportunity for applicants who are existing local authority staff.
