Head Teacher - Oak Wood Secondary School

We are passionate about learning and supporting pupils, parents and staff. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Head Teacher as from January 2020 or earlier and will be flexible for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be passionate about making that vital difference to the lives of young people in our school and their families. They will have the ability and enthusiasm to effectively lead the secondary school towards outstanding outcomes. In addition the successful candidate will have experience of working with pupils with complex, severe and moderate learning difficulties.

Central England Academy Trust will offer the successful candidate training, encouragement and support to develop their professional practice. Our Board of Trustees is keen to promote staff developments and as a result of this the continued professional development is prioritised. 

Oak Wood Secondary School is an oversubscribed very successful generic special secondary school. The school has increased its pupil numbers over the past two years. There are 155 pupils on role for September 2019 and this is due to further increase over the next academic year. The DfE has recently approved to increase the Pupil Admission Numbers of the secondary school to 170. Oak Wood Secondary School is part of a two school Multi Academy Trust and share the site with its sister school, Oak Wood Primary School.
