Job Details
Our Student Welfare Officers work with Heads of Year, Assistant Heads of Year and Form Tutors to support students to enable them to achieve their potential in school by being ready to learn and able to participate in the learning opportunities the school offers. This is a temporary role to cover maternity leave.
You will work directly with pupils in one year group, staff and parents, to improve attendance, time keeping and behaviour in school.
To succeed you will need a good standard of education, to include good passes in English and Maths at GCSE, or equivalent, and successful study beyond 16 years of age. You will also have experience of devising and implementing effective strategies for raising attendance and working with pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and their parents and carers.
If you share our high expectations of pupils and can contribute to the continuing progress that our students make, please apply now to start in September.
Oldbury Academy expects all its employees to share its commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of its pupils. Your attention is drawn to the details of our Safer Recruitment process and the rigorous pre-employment checking that we will undertake in order to demonstrate that commitment.
