To lead and develop a multi disciplined Team, to effectively manage and deliver a range of major improvement contracts identified through stakeholder feedback, component lifecycle requirements and reactive need to support Solihull Community Housing’s (SCH) Strategic Vision, Values and whole organisation Asset Management Strategy.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the operations and performance of capital investment works, and disabled adaptations work streams. High quality customer service is an absolute pre-requisite of this role both on an individual and corporate basis.

The role is a busy one, so the ability to prioritise and manage stress are key skills for the role. We also work with a range of contractors and external agencies so good communication and negotiation skills will be needed. Technical knowledge and a good grasp of Health and Safety are pre-requisites for the post.

With experience in either the social housing or commercial property sector, the ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of managing a busy service area, financial control/budget management and value for money.

Reporting directly to the Property Investment Manager you will work with your team to manage capital investment work streams from tender to completion on time and within budget, champion our new way of thinking to get everyone on board to review our current systems and processes, propose new options and suggestions relating to our service delivery, and provide accurate and well-maintained data which will lead to a process of continuous improvement in the services we provide.

There couldn’t be a better time to join a progressive and forward thinking organisation that operates with a financial head and a social heart. If you understand the local area and have a passion for delivering plans that truly align with organisational objectives, then we really would like to hear from you.
