As an Early Years Support Worker, you will be required to work as part of a team, which covers the whole of Herefordshire Children Centre Service reach areas. You will have experience with families and young children, childcare development and the ability to work in a multi-agency team environment. You will also be confident in lone working, have access to a car and be a car driver. With good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, you will be responsible for assessing and observing children, recording and tracking progress on a database.
You will be responsible for supporting improvements in outcomes for children and/or young people through leading the delivery of play/leisure and learning opportunities throughout Children’s Centres, individual family homes, other community settings and outreach locations. Knowledge and experience in delivery of targeted evidence based programmes to families is desirable alongside the flexibility to encourage engagement and enhance children in their development in support of the best possible start. You will work in collaboration with colleagues and multi-agency partners to engage families in the appropriate services.
