This is a permanent, full-time role (37 hours a week), with benefits (including: pension, free parking, flexi-time scheme, generous annual leave entitlement and numerous discounts at the local shopping centre).
The Black Country Consortium (BCC) Ltd works collaboratively with partners from the Public, Private and Third Sector, to steer and support economic growth in the Black Country. In working with these sectors, BCC marshals the energies and enthusiasm that promote and deliver meaningful joint sub-regional working, for the growth and enrichment of the Black Country as a whole.
BCC also works closely with the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to tackle barriers to business growth and the Active Black Country partnership team in promoting the role sport can play in improving the economic prosperity of the area.
We are looking for an experienced Analyst to join our Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU) to play a leading role to achieve this vision and deliver our key 12 Strategic Economic Plan priorities across the three themes of Business, People and Place.
The post holder must be qualified to degree level and/or demonstrate proven data experience in:
- Developing
- Sourcing
- Collecting
- Manipulating
- Analysing
- Carrying out evaluations
- Advising on research, information (including geographical and intelligence in order to support and inform evidence based policy decision making in the Black Country).
Travel (mainly around the Black Country and Birmingham) will be required.
