CLERK TO SCHOOL ADMISSION APPEAL PANELS

Do you have some knowledge and experience of Quasi-Judicial Hearings?

Would you be interested in Clerking our School Admission Appeal Panels?

We are inviting applications from members of the public with experience and knowledge of quasi - judicial hearing procedures, to join our pool of Clerks to our School Admission Appeal Panels.

Panels are made up of independent volunteers who hear appeals against the refusal to allocates a place at the school of a child’s/parents’ choice. Clerks provide advice and guidance to Panel members and appellants throughout the Hearing process and formally record the discussions and decisions.

Clerks support an average of 10-12 Panels throughout the year with the majority being held during the April-July period.

We engage the services of Clerks on an as and when required basis, all determined by the Clerk’s availability. Current remuneration is £170 per meeting (plus mileage and incidental expenses).
