Housing and Regeneration Accountant
The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is a strategic authority working with partners to deliver a stronger West Midlands, with a focus on skills, innovation, transport, economic development and regeneration. Individual Councils and Local Enterprise Partnerships will still deliver services and retain their identity but on the big decisions we will have the resources to work together.
This is an exciting time for the West Midlands - the Commonwealth Games will be here in 2022, the arrival of HS2 will help make us a world class business location and a new £350m housing deal aims to deliver 215,000 new homes by 2031.

About the Role
We are looking for a Housing and Regeneration Accountant to provide excellent financial guidance and support to the Housing Team at the Combined Authority as it delivers on its commitment to build 2015,000 houses by 2031.
The successful applicant will play an absolutely pivotal role within the Housing Team by influencing commercial land acquisitions / disposals, ensuring the Combined Authority is able to meet its strategic objectives. You will have experience in supporting land acquisitions and disposals and potentially have experience working with property developers or have a solid understanding of the market characteristics.
To deliver the best possible outcomes for the Combined Authority, you will be team player through and through and be able to connect investment opportunities right across the Combined Authority’s full range of functions including Transport, Skills and Digital.
The successful candidate will be a commercially astute qualified accountant and will demonstrate a flair for analysing / interpreting complex proposals to ensure any exposure to the Combined Authority is managed and mitigated to an acceptable level.
