37 Hours per week – Permanent

This is an opportunity to work within a very friendly and very busy, fast moving area of the Legal Services Unit.

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate effective team working skills and a commitment to the work of the section, the work of which is governed by public authority deputy standards.

The role will involve the following:

1. An understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and how it applies to deputyship and deprivation of liberty safeguards

2. Good numeracy and budgetary skills, including the ability to ensure that the service user's resources and those of the County Council are used to maximum effect.

3. Good written and oral communication skills at all levels – this post will involve liaison with internal/external professional organisations, fieldwork staff, colleagues in the department and members of the public.
