About the role

This is a unique opportunity to experience working on public health strategy and policy issues at a regional level, working closely with Directors of Public Health, their teams, and partners across the West Midlands. The role involves supporting the ADPH West Midlands network in being a strong and credible forum.

The successful candidate will support the ADPH West Midlands network with their collaborative work, focusing on four key priority areas: inclusive growth, mental wellbeing, air quality and population health management. As the ADPH West Midlands policy and strategy lead they will be responsible for activities such as advising Directors of Public Health on new policy developments, developing regional strategies, and responding to consultations on behalf of the network. 

About the team/location

You will join a small team but work independently. The post is hosted by Sandwell Council and we offer flexible working hours and working from home days. In addition, you will be able to work flexibly across different public health teams in the West Midlands.

Contract: Fixed Term until March 2021

Hours 

37 hours per week
