We are am award winning Communications & Public Affairs team whose role it is to ensure the Council’s key messages are communicated to our many stakeholders including residents, staff and the media.

Our service consists of three elements:

  • Press office
  • Corporate Communications
  • Events and mayoral support

We are looking for a dynamic and energised individual to compliment our busy team.



Hours:  37 hours per week

Salary: Grade 7

An exciting position now exists for an experienced, dynamic and confident communications support officer with a focus on digital comms within our communications and public affairs team at Dudley Council to support the council's communication strategy. Specifically the postholder will help to support the digital communications function of our business.

Reporting to the Communications and Public Affairs Senior Account Manager, you will be required to undertake all aspects of communications supporting both communication officers and senior account managers including: internal and external communications, social media, strategic communications, social marketing and campaign and event management.

You must be able to demonstrate a strong record of achievement in marketing and communications at a support level, successfully implementing campaigns and experience of using social media, SharePoint, web content management systems and associatd analytics in a professional capacity. Some out of hours work may be required.
