Job Details
We are looking for people with the drive and ambition to make Sandwell's Vision 2030 a reality.
You will play a critical role working on high-profile service specific projects, directly supporting the successful delivery of the Law and Governance Business Plan. You will be expected to make a real impact through your personal contribution, both within the council and to the residents of Sandwell.
You’ll need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, at all levels within the council, and have considerable committee administration experience and be able to demonstrate your commitment to your own professional development and to those you work with.
Democratic Services is a fast-paced area of work and you’ll be playing a key role in service improvement and across the full spectrum of council meetings, including executive, scrutiny, constitutional, other member decision making bodies and working groups.
Specialising in a specific area, you will have a thorough understanding of the service and specifically governance arrangements ensuring the efficient and effective execution of decisions taken by or on behalf of the Council, so will need to have relevant experience of interacting with members appropriately, as well as policy and procedural knowledge.
