Coventry City Council seeks several highly motivated OTs to improve the safety, independence and quality of life for people with physical, cognitive & learning disabilities.
Your skills include:
Several methods of effective communication
Conducting strengths-based assessments in the customer’s home to identify how they can use these strengths to improve / maintain safety and independence
Providing instruction to customers and their carers to achieve maximum functional independence.
Working both independently and as part of a team
Organising, planning and prioritising work to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
Developing effective relationships with customers, colleagues and other agencies
Maintaining accurate records on the computer database
Knowledge of rehabilitation, health conditions and mulit pathology
You are experienced in:
Undertaking comprehensive assessments
Interpreting and analysing data to gauge customers’ functional ability
Devising intervention plans; using clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to deliver enablement programmes
Supervising unqualified staff
Registration with the HCPC and a clear DBS are essential to this
