We are looking for a Mobile Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive catering team to work at various locations across the Solihull Borough. £17,364 - £18,065 pro rata, per annum (equivalent hourly rate of £9.00 - £9.36). This is a fixed term contract position until 31 January 2020.

Working 16 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 10.45am - 2.00pm and Friday 11.00am - 2.00pm, Term Time only. This role could be ideal to fit in around your caring responsibilities. You will assist with serving our healthy award winning meals, made from locally sourced, high quality ingredients, whilst ensuring levels of hygiene are maintained within the kitchen. Your duties will include basic food preparation, preparing counters and the dining room for service, operating the cashless till system, and cleaning duties.This is an essential car user post as the demands of the job make it operationally essential and there is a contractual requirement to make a suitable vehicle available to ensure the requirements of the job can be carried out effectively.Applicants must be able to drive, have a driving licence and be a car owner, however for disabled applicants, reasonable adjustments will be made where required.

You will need a Level 2 Food Safety qualification, or be willing to complete and pass it within your first 12 months of service. You will also have experience of delivering excellent customer service and working as part of a team. Good communication skills, enthusiasm and self-motivation are also essential, to ensure we continue to deliver our catering service to the high standards we are proud to have achieved.
