Occupational Therapy Team Leader

Working Hours:  37.0 Hours per Week

Are you an Occupational Therapist manager seeking a new challenge?  Would you be confident in leading a team to provide excellent service to users?

Coventry City Council are looking for a highly motivated, HCPC registered Occupational Therapy Team Leader who can support their mission to improve the safety, independence and quality of life for people with physical, mental & learning disabilities and to allow them to remain living in their chosen home environment.

Your skills will include:

• Effective communication skills
• Organising and allocating workload, planning and prioritising work to achieve objectives and meet deadlines for yourself and others.
• Combining conducting assessments for complex caseload whilst managing a team.
• Providing instruction to clients and their carers to enable them to achieve maximum functional independence.
• Developing effective working relationships with customers, colleagues and other agencies.

You will be experienced in:

• specialist knowledge of rehabilitation and general knowledge of adult conditions and multi-pathology.
• Interpreting and analysing clinical and non-clinical data to form an accurate picture of the customers’ functional ability
• Devising comprehensive intervention plans, using clinical reasoning and utilising evidence-based practice to deliver enablement programmes
• Guiding & monitoring both qualified and unqualified staff in the delivery of enablement and intervention plans
• Registration with the HCPC and a clear DBS are essential to this role.
