An opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Development Management team at Lichfield District Council at the beginning of your planning career. 

We are ideally situated in the heart of the Midlands, based in the historic centre of Lichfield. We are within easy reach of Birmingham and the District includes beautiful countryside including an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This presents a broad range of development opportunities, challenges and pressures for the District.

As a Planning Assistant, you will have responsibility for processing your own caseload of household and more minor applications, and will also be required to give advice and guidance to members of the public and developers on planning related issues.

Good organisational and communication skills are required, plus the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
