Principal Building Control Officer

6 month temporary post

With a vibrant City Centre, two leading University campuses, a destination sports venue and designated City of Culture 2021, Coventry is experiencing a sustained period of redevelopment across all sectors.

As a consequence, we have a vacancy for a temporary qualified Principal Building Control Surveyor. The Building Control team is responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive service across an exciting range of diverse, technically challenging projects.

The right individual for this role will assist in driving forward our vision for the service by supporting and fostering relationships with both new and existing customers.  You will need to demonstrate the necessary technical and people skills necessary to maintain and grow client confidence.  Applicants will need to possess a robust technical knowledge supported by relevant site experience of both the Building Regulations and allied legislation. 

This will be underpinned by a degree level qualification in a construction related discipline together with appropriate membership of a recognised professional body either CABE, CIOB or RICS.   

We are committed to delivering our services as efficiently as possible and an ability to work flexibly with technology will be required.  You will need a valid driving licence.
