Job Details
Building on the successful administration of over £150 million of funding allocated to the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) during the past 4 years. Walsall Council has been appointed as its single Accountable Body, taking responsibility for all future funding allocated to the LEP from the 1st April 2019. The Council is also the Accountable Body for a number of European funding streams on behalf of the Black Country including the European Social Fund Community Grants Programme.
We are looking for officers to join a dynamic team responsible for a range of tasks including; negotiating and agreeing contracts and grant agreements with the public and private sectors, associated claim and payment processes, compiling programme cash-flow forecasts together with on-going monitoring and compliance.

£29,464 - £33,464 per annum
This post holder will play a lead role in promoting excellent coordinating and governance of the pre-contracting processes.
The role involves managing the pre-contracting stages through to grant agreement award. To enable this you will play a key role in building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external partners.
You will need a strong track record in public sector contracting and governance activity, including work on national funding streams. Alongside experience in the contracting processes, with the ability to manage a demanding workload, complex relationships. If you have exceptional attention to detail, are resourceful, resilient, highly motivated and enjoy challenges then we would welcome your application.
The role will be initially appointed on a 2 year fixed term basis, with extensions dependent upon additional funding being approved. You will have access to on-going training and support as you help to promote good relationships, best practice and decision making across the Council and its partners.
