SEND Scale 3 10 hours per week
Braille Scale 4 20 hours per week
Fixed Term – 2 years in the first instance Term Time Only

We have available, an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant, qualified in Braille or a willingness to train as a Braillist in order to support the needs of young people with the Academy.
The successful candidate would ideally hold the RNIB Certificate in contracted Grade 2 English Braille (UEB) or be prepared to study for this qualification under a given time scale and already have experience of working with young people with a visual impairment and other SEND needs.
The role will incorporate supporting students within the mainstream school environment and fostering positive working relationships with external support agencies.
