Do you want to make a vital contribution to ensuring that less advantaged young people receive as many life choices as possible? We are looking for someone to join us in our state-of-the-art school, to provide a range of support for Pupil Premium students, both in-class and outside the classroom. You should be willing to work in both Key Stage 3 and 4, supporting our students in small groups and as individuals, to help them fulfil their potential and have the ability to make choices regarding future pathways. You will also work on our parental engagement strategy, to secure home support for students.
Supporting Pupil Premium students is the primary function of the post, however there will be times when you will be required to fulfil the role of Cover Supervisor. As such you will be joining a team of Cover Supervisors who play an important part in school life, providing short-term cover for absent teachers, supporting the Vertical Tutoring programme where necessary, supervising classes, invigilating exams and assisting with a variety of faculty based administration tasks.
You will have good interpersonal skills, a confident manner and a competent level of literacy and numeracy. Ideally you will be educated to degree level, but this is not essential. Previous experience is an advantage, but you will be given a full induction and training programme, supported by senior staff;
you should however be able to demonstrate adaptability and be a true team-player.
North Leamington School is a fantastic school in which to work, with exemplary relationships at all levels, and outstanding outcomes. All staff and students are valued highly. We have a first class commitment to developing individuals and working with others to reach their full potential. This could be a stepping stone into a teaching career, if this is a direction you are considering.
