We are seeking a Senior Engineer to manage the Highway Structures Team, in close conjunction with our partners Warwickshire County Council, leading on the management and maintenance of the borough’s highway structures including bridges, structures and culverts.

Within the role you will be expected to manage staff, partners and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes across a range of schemes.

With such a big agenda, we are striving for highway services that are well resourced, fit for the future and geared up for delivery. We are after the brightest and best talent; commercially minded and emotionally intelligent.  Your understanding of technical detail is important, but equally so is your ability to engage with our partners and stakeholders.  You’re going to need to be engaging, confident and dynamic, bringing a ‘can do’ approach to your team to help us rise to the challenge.

You will also have a degree or HND/ HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering related subject or the ability to demonstrate through extended experience, the necessary knowledge to carry out the full range of duties.

In return we can offer:

  • Flexible working, including flexi leave up to 24 days per year and agile working arrangements
  • The opportunity to buy up to 10 days additional leave per year
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme – a 24 hour independent, free and confidential advice and support service
  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Employee benefits including a staff discount card.
